Prime Farm is a 10 acre off-grid site in a rural part of West Dorset, between Lyme Regis and Bridport/West Bay.
We have just 3 camping pitches (suitable for tents only) and a Mongolian Yurt all nestled in wildflower meadows.
As a Greener Camping Club Certified site, we aim to keep things simple and offer our guests a comfortable place to relax and unwind while exploring this beautiful part of the world.
Once a working farm, Prime Farm has long since been maintained as wildflower meadow, encouraging an abundance of minibeast wildlife such as grasshoppers, glow worms, bees and butterflies as well as a range of larger wildlife including hares, deer, owls and other birds.
We aim to minimise our impact on the local environment and encourage our guests to leave no trace. We provide recycling and waste facilities to make this as effortless as possible.
Our site is off-grid, which means there is no electricity and no flushing toilets. Our toilets are composting and our hot shower is powered by gas. Your eyes will get used to the lack of electric lights as you enjoy the starry nights (bring torches, we have solar powered lighting in the toilets).
From the site a number of public footpaths weave their way across the surrounding rural landscape. Two country pubs are within a 45 minute walk. See also our Things to See and Do page for ideas for exploring further a field (which will require a car or bike).
