1. The Greener Camping Club
In order to comply with countryside planning policy, we operate as a Greener Camping Club members-only campsite. The Club was established by people with a passion for sustainable, eco-friendly camping holidays. When you book your holiday with us, you will be enrolled as a member of the Club. Membership costs just £12 for the calendar year and gives you access to some of the greenest campsites in the UK. It also includes participation in the Club’s ‘Trees for Life’ scheme, whereby a tree is planted for every member we enrol.
Payment processing is powered by Stripe. We do not collect or store any payment details
Our booking system collects a 50% conditionally-refundable deposit when booking a pitch. Receipt of the deposit secures your booking. Please note that the deposit includes full payment (£12) for your Greener Camping Club membership. The balance will be collected six weeks prior to your arrival date. For short lead-time bookings - ie. those booked less than six weeks before arrival, the full amount will be collected to complete the booking.
If you cancel your holiday 6 weeks or more before your arrival date we will refund your deposit in full less the £12 Greener Camping Club membership fee (which is not refundable).
If you cancel your holiday between 2 and 6 weeks before your arrival date we will refund 50% of the total booking charge.
Less than 2 weeks, no refund.
The Greener Camping Club membership fee is not refundable and you cannot withdraw your membership. You will continue to be a member of the Greener Camping Club and can continue to enjoy the benefits of your membership card and use it to stay at other GCC certified campsites.
If you are concerned about the prospect of cancellation, please take out holiday insurance.
Prime Farm Camping reserves the right to cancel a camping holiday at short notice if we are unable to provide safe camping environment, due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, flooding or any other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. 5. Arrival & Departure Times
Arrival time is between 3pm and 8pm on your day of arrival. On departure day, please vacate your camping pitch by 11am. Please call us if you think you may arrive outside of these times so that we can aim to facilitate you.
6. Children & Adults Safety
Our aim is for children and adults to have a truly enriching experience of space and freedom. But there are contingent risks to be aware of. We permit campfires in designated areas and pits. There are 2 small copse areas on the site each of which has an unfenced pond. There is a third unfenced pond on the site within an area you will walk through to get to your pitch.
You are welcome to explore the copse areas, but swimming, paddling or fishing are not permitted in any of the ponds and these areas can be somewhat overgrown. Please ensure your children are carefully supervised in these areas and do not remove any plant life from the ponds.
The meadows are cut towards the end of the summer and made to hay, we also periodically cut the grass for maintenance of the site for which a tractor and other equipment is used. So there may be tractors around. These risks are small and should be self-evident - but if you are not clear, please ask! Prime Farm Camping accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on site at all times.
We permit campfire within the designated campfire areas. Fire pits are provided with each pitch. Do not enlarge or alter the position of the designated campfire places. Ensure you don’t pitch your tent too close to the campfire place and take into account wind direction.
Firewood can be purchased from us on site. All our firewood is fully sustainable. Please burn only wood not tins or plastic as we recycle the ash to fertilise the fields and improve our soils.
Do not leave your campfire unattended and think carefully about whether or not to light a fire if it is windy and/or dry. Prime Farm Camping accepts no liability for injury or damage caused by your campfire. By lighting it you accept full responsibility for it.
In the event of difficult weather conditions, e.g. extreme heat or drought, we reserve the right to stop the use of fires and BBQ's to protect the site and its users from high fire risk. In the unhappy event that this affects your stay, please be advised the standard cancellation terms above apply.
The speed limit while on Prime Farm Campsite is 5 mph. You can bring one car per pitch booking. Parking is in a hard standing yard area a 2 minute walk from the camping pitches. Cars are not permitted on your pitch as the ground is not suitable for cars. Please use the wheelbarrows provided in the parking area to transport your gear to your pitch.
9. Consideration for Others
This is a peaceful, small, quiet campsite for the enjoyment of nature. We do not allow radios, stereos or other sound systems and only quiet talking after 10.00pm please. Noisy visitors who disturb other guests may be asked politely to leave, without refund.
We have neighbours who share our quiet lane, please be considerate when leaving and returning to the site, and adhere to the 5 mph limit. Children play and walk in the lane.
If you are out for the night and arrive back late, be considerate to local residents and other campers. Please leave your car in the yard parking area, and make sure you have a torch to find your way to your tent.
As a Greener Camping Club site, if the behaviour of a Member, or that of their children causes nuisance to other Members, or there is persistent violation of the these terms and conditions, the Site Owner is empowered to instruct the Member to cease the behaviour/violation, or leave the site immediately without refund.

15. Wildlife: Badgers, Foxes, Deer, Owls etc
Prime Farm is blessed with wildlife, it literally will be all around you. At night you may hear the hoot of an Owl, or something scurrying around. They may be on the hunt for an easy meal or curious to explore your camp, and could try to raid your food stocks and recycling. One or two simple precautions will help. Put your food in suitable, hard containers and your recycling in the bins provided. Don’t leave food scraps lying around and make sure your tent is zipped up at bedtime.
